There is much to discover in the German-language work of the Evangelical Church in Jerusalem and a lot of opportunities to connect to this special place.

The Evangelical Church forms a network of people and institutions that enrich life in this city and in the Holy Land in many ways. In our community, Germans living or visiting the Holy Land experience a piece of home. Together we shape spiritual life under the special conditions of this city. Our guest house and the cafes at the Savior and Himmelfahrtkirche are places of rest in the hustle and bustle of the city. Individual travelers and groups will find support and guidance through events and discussions sponsored by the church. Our archeological study program allows us to understand ourselves as Christians against the background of a special history that bridges faith and science, between religions, among Christian denominations and diverse cultures of the Holy Land. Our wonderful buildings invite visitors to explore and find a home for worship and community in their native language of German. We also offer worship services in other languages on occasion.

Financially and organizationally, our work is supported by the EKD (Evangelical Church of Germany) and its foundations in the Holy Land.
