Kryukova Irina
Born in 2008 in Moscow. She graduated from the Edward Grieg Children’s Music School,
specializing in organ (class of teacher Yulia Shmelkina). In July 2025, she entered the 1st year of
the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (class of Professor
Daniel Zaretsky).
She was an active participant in the European Organ Academy (Leipzig, 2023, 2025) and the
Summer Organ Academy (Haarlem, 2024).
She studied in master classes of many famous organists: N. Berndt, M. Bouvard, K.B. Brundorf,
K. Cowan, P. van Dijk, L. van Doeselaar, B. Foccroulle, D. Higgs, J. Lang, O. Latry, N. Laube,
B. Mernier, B. van Oosten, P.D. Peretti, J.-B. Robin, M. Schmeding, J. Verdin,W. Zerer and others.
She has repeatedly become a laureate of all-Russian and international competitions. The most
significant of them are: the IV and V International “Young Organist” Competition (Moscow, 2019
and 2022, 1 prize); the III All-Russian Bach Competition for Young Organists (Vidnoye, 2019,
Grand Prix); the VII All-Russian “Sancta Caecilia” Organ Competition (Krasnogorsk, 2021, Grand
Prix); the III International Roizman Organ Competition (Moscow, 2022, 1 prize and a special
diploma for a meaningful and vivid performance of the Introduction and Passacaglia in D minor by
Max Reger).
At the age of 15, she became a finalist of the XIII International Mikael Tariverdiev Organ
Competition (Moscow – Kaliningrad, 2023) and the winner of the special Georgy Boos prize “Hope
of Russia”.
In 2022, Irina Kryukova won the “Organist of the Year” award in the “Debut” nomination (for
young performers under 28 who have clearly demonstrated themselves in the current concert
season).
She was the winner of the V. Spivakov Foundation project “Light of Hope” (2022/2023), participant
in the Spivakov Foundation concert programs.
Irina Kryukova was a participant of international organ festivals: “Organ Virtuosos” (Moscow,
2023), V International Organ Festival (Kazan, 2024), VIII International St. Cecilia Catholic Festival
of Organ and Chamber Music (Kaliningrad, 2024).
She collaborated with the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra.
She has performed concert programs in Russia, Germany and Belgium.
